The 49th QMA China Meeting was successfully concluded at Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. (BBAC) from June 4-5, 2025. This two-day conference brought together senior professionals from the automotive industries of China and Germany for in-depth discussions and exchanges on the development and innovation of quality management standards.
The meeting was hosted by BBAC and received enthusiastic response and active participation from renowned member companies. The participant covers all important segments of the automotive industry. These include Bosch China, SAIC Volkswagen, Continental Group, Volkswagen Group (China), Schaeffler, and other industry leaders, as well as other influential partners in the field of quality management. The membership composition of QMA China reflects the completeness of the German automotive ecosystem, covering OEMs (including wholly-owned and joint venture OEM enterprises), commercial vehicle manufacturing companies, and their suppliers, forming a quality management collaboration network covering the entire industry.
During the meeting, VDA QMC China General Manager Stefan Bücke and several senior industry experts delivered keynote speeches with in-depth analysis of core topics in automotive quality management, engaging in deep discussions around frontier topics such as quality management system innovation, risk identification and control, and process audit best practices. Attendees actively shared practical experiences and best practices in technological innovation practices and process management optimization, providing valuable practical guidance for industry development.
QMA China Meeting, as a highly specialized internal communication platform, is open only to its members, ensuring professional depth and open candor in discussions. The meeting focuses on the latest decision dynamics from QMA Germany, implementation status of quality management standards in China, and solutions to practical challenges.
Key Terms : What is QMA？
QMA, originating from the German "Quality Management Committee," is the highest decision-making body within the VDA Quality Management Center (QMC), coordinating quality management across the German automotive industry. QMA Germany and QMA China are responsible for formulating and improving VDA QMC-related standards, with their meeting decisions serving as crucial basis for developing and implementing coordinated quality strategies, methods, and updating or establishing new VDA standards (including digital requirements) within the German automotive industry. QMA China's member organizations include OEMs (wholly-owned and joint ventures), commercial vehicle manufacturers, and related suppliers. QMC implements QMA decisions and provides training and certification services. Together, QMA and QMC form the foundation for trusted, consistent quality in the international automotive supply chain.
